In this 4-week TinkerCad 3D Modelling with Codeblocks program, students will learn advanced concepts that build upon the fundamentals of TinkerCAD CodeBlock, allowing students to refine their 3D design and coding skills. Participants will tackle more complex challenges involving nested loops, variables, functions, and algorithmic thinking to create intricate and dynamic 3D models. By the end of the course, students will have a deeper understanding of computational design and be able to programmatically generate advanced 3D structures.

Objective:

In this hands-on course, students will use TinkerCAD Codeblocks to create four exciting 3D models while advancing their skills in coding, design, and logical thinking. Through themed weekly projects, they’ll explore loops, variables, symmetry, and transformation to create stunning digital creations.


Week 1: Christmas Tree

Objective: Create a festive 3D Christmas tree with decorations using loops and layers.

  • Scaling and stacking

  • Adding simple decorative elements


Week 2: Spiral Staircase

Objective: Design a spiral staircase structure using rotation and height controls.

📌 Skills Covered:

  • Nested loops

  • Rotational symmetry

  • Elevation and alignment


Week 3: DNA Model

Objective: Build a double helix DNA structure with connecting base pairs.

  • Mirroring and symmetry

  • Rotation with precision

  • Using variables for twist and height


Week 4: Basket

Objective: Design a patterned 3D basket using loops and curves.

Final Outcome:
