AYR – LEGO Robotics & Coding Workshop

Introductory Workshop: LEGO® Robotics & Coding

Discover the Joy of Building and Coding!

Get ready for an exciting hands-on robotics experience designed for curious young minds!

🔹 Ages 4–7:

Ferris Wheel Fun with LEGO SPIKE Essentials
Young engineers will build and code their very own Ferris wheel using motors and controllers. They will:

  • Learn how to control motor speed and direction through simple coding.
  • Add a colorful light matrix, changing lights and brightness using code.
  • Enhance their project with music, creating a real amusement park vibe

This fun-filled session introduces foundational STEM concepts through play and creativity.

🔹 Ages 8–12:

Smart Bike with LEGO SPIKE Prime
Participants will dive into the world of robotics by building a programmable bike. They’ll:

  • Code the bike to move at different speeds.
  • Use color sensors to mimic traffic light behaviors—green to go, yellow to slow, red to stop—just like an autonomous vehicle!
  • Gain hands-on experience with how real-world smart systems work

These workshops are the perfect starting point for kids who are curious about technology and love to build. No prior experience is needed—just a spark of imagination and a love for hands-on fun!
