FIRST® LEGO® League (FLL), created through a partnership between FIRST® (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) and the LEGO® Group, inspires future scientists and engineers!

Tomorrow’s innovators practice imaginative thinking and teamwork. Guided by adult coaches, FIRST LEGO League teams research real-world problems such as food safety, recycling, energy, etc., and are challenged to develop a solution. They also must design, build, and program a robot using LEGO MINDSTORMS® technology, then compete on a table-top playing field.

Theme 2023-2024- MASTERPIECE

In #MASTERPIECE, children ages 4-16 will imagine and innovate new ways to create and communicate art across the globe through #STEM. The season will launch on August 1, 2023.

It all adds up to tons of fun while they learn to apply science, technology, engineering, and math concepts (STEM), plus a big dose of imagination, to solve a problem! Along their discovery journey, they develop critical thinking and team-building skills, basic STEM applications, and even presentation skills, as they must present their solutions with a dash of creativity to judges. They also practice the FLL Program’s signature Core Values.

**Why should you join the FIRST^® LEGO^® League?**

When students are engaged in hands-on STEM experiences, they build confidence, grow their knowledge, and develop habits of learning. When adults coach these students, they encourage them to try, fail, and try again, while connecting STEM concepts to real-world examples.

FIRST^® LEGO^® League is the most accessible, guided, global robotics competition, helping students and teachers to build a better future together. The program is built around theme-based challenges to engage children ages 9 to 16* in research, problem-solving, coding, and engineering. The foundation of the program is the FIRST^® Core Values, which emphasize teamwork, discovery, and innovation. Students emerge more confident, excited, and equipped with the skills they need in a changing workforce.
